Yes, strategic alliances can be very beneficial to both parties, but do your home work first.

A strategic alliance with the wrong person can be like inviting a trojan horse into your business.

At some point, their true intentions come out which can be less than pleasant for what you are trying to build and develop

Strategic alliances are a great way to eliminate competition. If nothing else, it creates a political situation where people have to second guess their personal actions before executing them.

I have more than enough business, I just need the smarts to always do what’s right and keep with a good work ethic. When quote competitors started coming around business actually increased.

I think there’s more than enough business, it’s just learning how to fulfill one’s customers needs. Working with “competitors” and creating alliances should strengthen each business. Agree with you 100%

Exactly Sohail, not everytime you’ve to hold the neck of your competitors, sometimes it’s much more wise to work together and effectively not only you’ll benefit but the customers will benefit as well.

One more example could be the recent partnership between Microsoft and Yahoo, now they’re working together to rival Google.
